Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A law firm located in Mount Clemens, MI is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated litigation associate to join its team, with a primary focus on handling No-Fault and Negligence matters. This position is ideal for attorneys who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about advocating for clients in complex civil litigation cases.

Duties:

• Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and memoranda

• Manage all phases of discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, document production, and depositions

• Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant statutes, case law, and regulations

• Appear in court for motion hearings, status conferences, and trial-related matters

• Negotiate settlements and engage in alternative dispute resolution

• Maintain communication with clients and provide case updates in a timely and professional manner

• Collaborate with internal team members on case strategy and litigation planning

• Ensure accurate timekeeping and billing in line with firm practices

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in the State of Michigan

• Alternatively, recent completion of the Michigan Bar Exam with results pending

• Litigation experience preferred, though strong entry-level candidates will be considered

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments

• Experience or familiarity with legal billing systems is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Michigan Bar (or recent bar exam completion)

Skills:
