Job Details:

• Provide legal counsel on privacy and security obligations, including state, federal, and international data security incident notification requirements.
• Defend regulatory investigations related to privacy and security matters.
• Oversee and advise on compliance matters related to contractual and legal obligations about security.
• Possess 7 years of relevant experience, with desired expertise in privacy and security obligations, data security incident notification, and defending regulatory investigations.
• Ideal candidates will have law firm or in-house privacy and cybersecurity breach response experience or litigation experience with a demonstrated interest in privacy and cybersecurity breach response work.
• Demonstrate exceptional project management skills to handle a fast-paced and complex workload, maintaining priorities and anticipating issues.
• Exhibit awareness of data privacy and security laws.
• Showcase effective and persuasive writing and oral communication skills.
• Display the ability to manage a fast-paced, complex workload while maintaining priorities and anticipating issues.
• Exhibit motivation to learn and understand technology and forensic investigations, facilitating effective interaction with technically-skilled individuals and distilling key issues and findings for non-technical business team members.

Requirements:

• 7 years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience advising on privacy and security obligations, data security incident notification, and defending regulatory investigations.
• Law firm or in-house privacy and cybersecurity breach response experience, or litigation experience with a demonstrated interest in privacy and cybersecurity breach response work.
• Exceptional project management skills.
• Awareness of data privacy and security laws.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications:

• Relevant certifications in cybersecurity and data protection (desired).
