Environmental Project Specialist

The candidate will be supporting environmental attorneys with due diligence, and management and development of environmentally impacted properties. Collaborating with attorneys, environmental consultants, regulators, and clients to manage environmental projects. Evaluating environmental risk factors and strategies for nationwide client operations in order to promote compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Reviewing and evaluating remediation strategies and regulatory requirements for client sites. Preparing responses and solutions for environmental regulatory violations. Researching, evaluating, and preparing preliminary desktop environmental screening summaries for potential client real estate acquisitions using historical documents and online state and federal databases. Evaluating environmental consultant proposals, work plans, and deliverables (ex. soil/vapor/groundwater investigation and remediation, landfill gas mitigation, spill response, stormwater, hazardous materials surveys) for submittal to clients and regulatory agencies. Maintaining databases and spreadsheets of environmental conditions and documents. Organizing and tracking environmental consultant proposals, invoices, and budgets for environmental work at client sites. Background in environmental science. Should have knowledge of environmental site investigation and remediation processes, proposals, and deliverables. Knowledge of state and federal environmental databases and online GIS maps; ability to interpret and summarize scientific environmental data; ability to organize and track numerous sites throughout project lifecycles simultaneously; strong Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Powerpoint) abilities; strong written communication abilities. Graduation from a four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree and four plus years of experience in the environmental consulting and/or project management sector; or any combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
