Senior Escrow Officer
The candidate's responsibilities include: Receipts and reviews purchase agreements. Provides updates to Realtors, lenders, sellers, and purchasers on the status of receiving title commitments/preliminary reports and loan approval/instructions form the lender. Reviews title commitments/preliminary reports, relays curative requirements to parties involved and assists as necessary. Coordinates closing dates with clients, their customers, and lenders. Reviews closing instructions and documents from lender and/or client and prepares settlement statements accordingly. Advises clients and customers on title policy options. Works with Branch Manager and Sales Representatives to effectively market his/her own title and escrow services to outside realtors, builders, mortgage companies in a manner that builds or maintains a following of clients who direct new business to the branch and complies with the Company’s Marketing Dos and Don’ts guidelines. Obtains signatures for closing transactions with brief explanation of all documents executed by the Buyer/Borrower and Seller; facilitates the answer of all questions from clients. Reviews and signs checks and initiates or approves wire transfers. Reviews appropriate documents for timely submission to the county recorders office. Reviews escrow accounting reports to resolve any outstanding checks and open file balances. Performs or acts as back-up in daily banking reporting. Assists in marketing new business and promoting better service to clients and their customers. Acts an effective team member by helping develop other staff members, providing assistance to other staff members as needed and encouraging others to perform at peak levels. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements: Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred. Must have 2-3 years experience in the title & escrow insurance industry with 2+ years as an escrow assistant/processor. Must have extensive knowledge of real estate law, abstracting and examination.
