A prominent law firm based in Austin, TX, is seeking experienced litigation associates to join its nationally recognized construction disputes team. This opportunity involves representing clients in complex, high-stakes matters across the U.S. and internationally. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in commercial litigation, with particular emphasis on construction-related disputes, and will be eager to play an active role in client engagement, litigation strategy, and courtroom advocacy.
Represent clients in large-scale construction disputes and related commercial litigation
Develop and execute case strategies in coordination with team leads
Draft legal pleadings, motions, memoranda, and discovery responses
Conduct and defend depositions, assist in trial preparation, and participate in hearings and trials
Collaborate with cross-functional legal teams to ensure comprehensive representation
Participate in client meetings and strategic planning discussions
Conduct legal research and evaluate legal precedents and regulations relevant to construction law
2 to 5 years of litigation experience, preferably in a large law firm setting
Background in handling complex commercial or construction-related litigation
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
Admission to a U.S. state bar, with preference for candidates eligible for admission in Texas
Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
Strong business acumen and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
Foreign language proficiency is considered an asset
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school
Active member of a U.S. State Bar
Eligibility to waive into the Texas Bar or sit for the next bar exam if not currently licensed in Texas
Strategic litigation planning and client advisory capabilities
Persuasive legal writing and oral argument proficiency
Strong interpersonal and client relationship-building skills
An analytical and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving
Familiarity with construction law and related legal frameworks
