Duties:
Represent clients in a wide range of intellectual property matters, with a focus on patent transactions
Draft, review, and negotiate intellectual property-related agreements
Assist with patent prosecution and manage patent portfolios
Provide strategic counseling on IP matters involving innovation, licensing, and commercialization
Collaborate with attorneys and paraprofessionals across the IP practice group
Engage with clients ranging from early-stage companies to multinational corporations
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience handling intellectual property transactions
Prior law firm experience with a robust IP practice preferred
Proven ability to manage client relationships and handle complex IP matters
Strong interest in long-term career development and partnership opportunities
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school
Solid academic performance required; top-tier law school preferred
Certifications:
Active bar membership in good standing in the State of California
Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) required
Skills:
Deep understanding of U.S. patent law and related IP legal frameworks
Strong drafting, negotiation, and legal analysis skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail
