A mid-size national defense law firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Attorney to join its team. The role offers a flexible work-from-home option and will involve both insurance coverage opinion work and insurance defense litigation. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience handling insurance coverage matters and a strong ability to draft detailed insurance coverage opinions for a variety of liability and property insurers.

Location:

• Tampa, FL

Duties:

• Draft insurance coverage opinions for a variety of liability and property insurers.
• Handle insurance defense litigation alongside coverage opinion work.
• Provide legal analysis and counsel regarding complex insurance coverage matters.
• Collaborate with the firm’s team to manage and resolve insurance-related issues.
• Stay current on developments in insurance law and industry trends.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience handling insurance coverage matters.
• Must be currently licensed to practice law in Florida.
• Additional licensure in other states is a plus.
• Experience with Westlaw and legal research tools.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Florida.
• Additional state bar admissions are a plus.

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Expertise in drafting insurance coverage opinions.
• Experience in insurance defense litigation.
• Ability to manage complex legal issues independently.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with legal technology tools such as Westlaw.
