Job Overview

A law firm seeks a partner-level attorney with at least seven years of experience advising clients on FDA regulatory matters to join its Consumer Brands industry group in New York City, NY. This role offers the opportunity to help lead and grow the firm's FDA and consumer products regulatory capabilities while working with clients in the food and beverage, dietary supplement, cosmetics, wellness, and broader consumer products industries.

Duties

• Advise clients on FDA regulatory compliance for food, beverage, dietary supplements, cosmetics, and other consumer products.
• Counsel clients on labeling, packaging, advertising claims, and product compliance.
• Lead regulatory aspects of financing, investment, and M&A transactions.
• Collaborate with investors, lenders, and operating companies to manage regulatory risk.
• Negotiate and advise on commercial transactions within the consumer brands and products industries.

Requirements

• At least seven years of experience in FDA regulatory compliance matters.
• Experience with USDA regulatory compliance is preferred.
• Portable book of business and interest in client relationship development.
• Experience with CPSC, FTC, and related regulatory matters is a plus.
• Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; California Bar admission is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
