The intern will be answering the phone, running errands, sorting the mail, researching legislation for the Congressman and the legislative staff, attending hearings and briefings, and answering constituents’ questions about issues before the House. These duties give interns the opportunity to learn about the legislative process and the other functions of a congressional office while expanding their network of contacts.
