A law firm seeks a Corporate Energy Associate to join its practice in Reston, VA. The ideal candidate will have experience advising on complex energy, infrastructure, and corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, project development, and strategic investments. Experience with renewable energy and cross-border matters is preferred.

Duties

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support transactions.
• Draft legal documents, including memos and contracts.
• Assist in managing complex transactions from inception to resolution.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop transaction strategies.
• Participate in high-level legal activities, including negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations.
• Engage in professional development opportunities.
• Contribute to firm programs and pro bono work.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of corporate, energy, or infrastructure transactional experience.
• Familiarity with tax equity financings and structured financings is a plus.
• Experience with M&A, project development, and joint ventures.

Education

• JD Degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice in the state of California.
