Business Tax Senior Associate

The candidate will prepare complex tax returns. Will develop, motivate, and train staff level and intern team members. Undertake detailed review and analysis of tax returns. Interact directly with clients handling questions, planning, concerns, etc. Perform, document, and summarize research and conclusions regarding specific tax issues. Remain up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law. Handle other duties as assigned. Should have a BA/BS degree preferably in Accounting or related field of study. Must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam or be a licensed attorney. Masters of Accounting is preferred. CPA, J.D., LL.M., or EA is desired. Must have 2+ years of experience in a public accounting environment. Experience with a national or large regional accounting firm is an asset. Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance is ideal. The ability to work closely with clients to answer questions or to collect necessary information for tax service requirements is essential. Experience preparing and reviewing returns is needed. Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation, and review experience would be a plus. Experience in dealing with international tax matters would be an asset.
