This role involves managing complex tax credit transactions and collaborating with clients and stakeholders on structuring, negotiation, and documentation for both historic and renewable energy tax credits.

Duties

• Lead or assist in structuring tax credit transactions, ensuring compliance and alignment with client goals.
• Analyze and review financial projections related to tax credit projects.
• Draft, review, and negotiate tax equity and loan documents, opinions, and related agreements.
• Conduct detailed due diligence to identify and address legal and business risks.
• Oversee project management to ensure seamless execution and client satisfaction.
• Provide strategic legal advice and maintain knowledge of industry trends and regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in a law firm, specifically with historic and renewable energy tax credits.
• Expertise in managing all aspects of tax credit transactions, from structuring to execution.
• Demonstrated ability to address both business and legal issues in complex financial transactions.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited and nationally recognized law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law and membership in Ohio.
