Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Litigation team in Myrtle Beach, SC. The ideal candidate will be in good standing with the South Carolina Bar and possess strong academic credentials, excellent research and writing skills, and the ability to work independently.

Duties

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs.
• Conduct legal research.
• Communicate with clients and opposing parties to resolve or settle claims.
• Manage a diversified caseload from beginning to end.
• Provide timely reporting.
• Collaborate with other attorneys at depositions and various court appearances.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience, preferably in civil litigation, construction defect, toxic torts, and/or personal injury.
• Must be licensed to practice in South Carolina.
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Ability to prioritize assignments and caseload.
• Experience with WestLaw, i-Manage, and Juris Suite is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in South Carolina.
