Duties

• Represent employers in single-plaintiff and complex employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour actions.
• Independently manage all phases of litigation from pre-litigation evaluation through trial or resolution.
• Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions and class certification briefing.
• Manage written discovery and take/defend depositions.
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.
• Provide day-to-day counseling on employment law issues, including leaves of absence and terminations.
• Collaborate with partners to strengthen client relationships and develop new business.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in labor and employment litigation.
• Portable book of business preferred, but not required.
• Strong oral and written advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage cases and client needs independently.
• Admission to practice in California.
