A law firm seeks a Senior Associate Attorney specializing in Wills, Trusts, and Estates in Palm City, FL. This role offers the possibility of remote work. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership, mentorship, and exceptional legal acumen, contributing significantly to the firm's mission of helping clients preserve and protect their legacy.

Duties

• Communicate with clients and other counsel and advisers.
• Draft and review documents and pleadings.
• File pleadings and attend occasional court hearings.
• Oversee the process of trust funding.
• Serve as the lead attorney on complex cases, demonstrating expertise and strategic insight.

Requirements

• Must be a member in good standing of The Florida Bar.
• Substantial experience in Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Administration.
• Experience drafting at least 300 trust-based estate plans and acting as attorney of record in at least 100 formal administration probate cases.
• Complex expertise in estate planning, including charitable trusts, irrevocable trusts, SLATs, ILITs, GRATs, QPRTs, etc.
• Experience in Elder Law and/or Guardianship is helpful but not required.

Education

• LLM in taxation or estate planning and/or Board Certification is strongly desired.

Certifications

• Member in good standing of The Florida Bar.

Skills

• Strong research and writing skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to provide oversight and guidance to Associates and other legal staff.
• Ability to counsel associates on legal matters, procedural strategies, and professional development.
