Job Overview:
A leading national law firm is seeking a Public and Project Finance Associate Attorney with 2 to 5 years of transactional experience to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile public and infrastructure finance matters, including deals involving renewable energy, housing, education, healthcare, and water/sewer systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong deal-closing experience and a foundation in public finance, project finance, or tax equity transactions.
Location:
Minneapolis, MN
Duties:
Represent public and private sector clients in a variety of finance transactions
Handle matters involving municipal bonds, infrastructure projects, and renewable energy finance
Draft, negotiate, and review transaction documents related to public and project finance
Advise on tax equity structures and project financing strategy
Participate in deal structuring, due diligence, and closings
Engage in direct communication with clients, lenders, developers, and government issuers
Support marketing and business development initiatives, including attending conferences and client meetings
Requirements:
2 to 5 years of experience in public finance, project finance, or structured finance
Experience working on and closing transactions is essential
Familiarity with municipal securities and project documentation
Ability to work collaboratively on cross-office teams and manage responsibilities independently
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active bar license in Colorado, Minnesota, or Pennsylvania (preferred or willingness to obtain)
Skills:
Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability
Effective communication and client service orientation
Business development mindset and ability to support firm growth
