Junior Data Privacy Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Dallas is seeking a Junior Data Privacy Associate Attorney with 1-2 years of experience in advising on privacy and cybersecurity issues. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of prominent privacy and security frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, NIST, or similar frameworks.

Duties:

• Provide legal advice and guidance on privacy and cybersecurity matters to clients.
• Assist in conducting risk assessments and compliance audits.
• Draft and review privacy policies, terms of use, and data processing agreements.
• Support in negotiating and drafting agreements related to technology transactions.
• Participate in regulatory or governmental investigations related to data privacy.
• Aid in cyber incident response and management.
• Assist in privacy litigation matters as needed.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Bar or the ability to waive into the jurisdiction of TX.
• 1-2 years of experience in advising on privacy and cybersecurity issues.
• Familiarity with prominent privacy and security frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, NIST, or similar frameworks.

Certifications:

Certification(s) in privacy or cybersecurity (e.g., CIPP, CISSP, CIPM) is a plus.
