A law firm seeks a mid-level project finance attorney with debt and tax equity experience to join their team in New York, New York. The successful candidate will represent clients in the renewable energy sector, handling transactions related to the development, acquisition, and financing of energy projects.

Duties

• Represent sponsors and financing parties in renewable energy project transactions.
• Draft and negotiate debt term sheets, loan agreements, and security documents.
• Draft and negotiate equity capital contribution agreements and partnership agreements.
• Manage junior associates and transaction processes.
• Communicate directly with clients and third-party advisors.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in the energy industry at a large law firm or comparable in-house counsel role.
• Excellent oral communication, writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Strong academic credentials from a top-tier law school.
• Admitted to and a member in good standing with the state bar in which they reside.

Education

• Juris Doctor from a top-tier law school.

Certifications

• State bar admission in good standing.

Skills

• Strong familiarity with project finance work in the energy industry.
• Experience with drafting and negotiating various financial and legal documents.
• Ability to manage projects and work effectively as part of a team.
