Duties

• Handle all phases of litigation from inception through resolution

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents

• Conduct legal research and prepare detailed memoranda

• Manage discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests and taking/defending depositions

• Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and arbitrations

• Assist in trial preparation and support trial teams as needed

• Collaborate with partners and clients on litigation strategy and case management

Requirements

• 2–5 years of commercial litigation experience

• Prior experience managing case files and court deadlines

• Familiarity with New York State and federal court procedures

• Demonstrated experience handling complex legal issues and disputes

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar (in good standing)

• Excellent legal writing and analytical skills

• Strong oral advocacy and communication abilities

• Highly organized with attention to detail
