A respected regional law firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to support its Indian Country and Alaska Native Corporations practice group, with additional responsibilities in government contracting and transactional law. This position offers the opportunity to engage in meaningful legal work supporting tribal and Alaska Native clients, with a focus on business transactions and regulatory compliance.

Provide legal counsel to Alaska Native Corporations and tribal entities on a range of corporate and regulatory matters
Advise clients on government contracting compliance and federal procurement issues
Draft and review transactional documents, including contracts, agreements, and corporate governance materials
Conduct legal research and prepare detailed memoranda on matters involving Federal Indian Law
Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups to serve client needs in a multi-disciplinary environment
Take ownership of legal matters and manage projects with a high degree of independence
Engage with clients to deliver exemplary service and build long-term relationships
Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing transactional law
Demonstrated knowledge of Alaska Native Corporations and/or Federal Indian Law
Experience or strong familiarity with government contracting (FAR, SBA programs, etc.)
Exceptional legal research, analysis, and writing skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities
Proven ability to work collaboratively while maintaining independent judgment
Admission to the Alaska State Bar or immediate eligibility for reciprocity
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Admission to the Alaska State Bar, or ability to gain admission through reciprocity
Deep understanding of laws impacting Native entities and government contracts
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High level of professionalism and ethical standards
Client-first mindset and proactive approach to legal service delivery
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
