Job Overview:

The Litigation Of Counsel will primarily handle product liability and/or complex commercial litigation cases. They will be responsible for effectively communicating with clients, lawyers, and third parties, producing quality work products, and meeting deadlines. The role requires superior research, analytical, and writing skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Duties:

• Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, and third parties.
• Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently.
• Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
• Successfully meet deadlines and expectations.
• Foster positive work relationships.
• Comply with all firm policies and practices.
• Engage in physical and sedentary activities, including working at a computer for extended periods, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
• Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm.
• Experience with product liability and/or complex commercial litigation.
• Must have a science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology).
• Superior research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Experience with the pharmaceutical and medical device industry and clients is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Prefer candidates with immediately transferable skills and strong academic backgrounds from nationally recognized schools.
• Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
• J.D. degree.
• CA Bar admission.
• Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm experience.
