Job Overview:
A leading international law firm is seeking a Junior Associate Attorney to join its Environment, Land, and Natural Resources practice group in Seattle, Washington. This role is designed for early-career attorneys with 1–3 years of relevant legal experience who are passionate about environmental law and eager to grow within a dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated interest in environmental and natural resources issues, coupled with strong academic credentials and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Support litigation, regulatory, and advisory matters involving environmental and natural resource issues
Conduct legal research, draft memoranda, and prepare court filings and other documentation
Collaborate with senior attorneys and cross-functional teams on complex environmental matters
Assist with project development and compliance issues related to federal, state, and local environmental laws
Participate in client meetings and help manage regulatory agency communications
Monitor and analyze developments in environmental regulations and public policy
1–3 years of relevant experience in environmental, land use, or natural resources law
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail, reliability, and a professional demeanor
Strong time management and task prioritization skills
Excellent legal writing and communication abilities
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Strong academic credentials required
Admission to practice law in Washington State or eligibility to obtain admission promptly
Legal research and analysis in administrative, regulatory, and litigation contexts
Written and verbal communication tailored to both legal and non-legal audiences
Familiarity with federal and state environmental statutes, such as NEPA, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, and CERCLA
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Background or academic experience in economics, finance, mathematics, or environmental science is a plus
