Job Overview: A law firm in Tampa, FL, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have substantial courtroom experience, particularly in handling felony, misdemeanor, and DUI cases from inception through trial. They should possess a strong advocacy background, zealously advocating criminal cases in State Court as a prosecutor, public defender, or private attorney. Membership in good standing with the Florida Bar is required.

Job Duties:

• Represent clients in felony, misdemeanor, and DUI cases from the initial stages through trial.
• Conduct legal research and analysis about criminal law matters.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and briefs.
• Attend court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
• Negotiate plea agreements and settlements on behalf of clients when appropriate.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
• Prior courtroom experience handling criminal cases, preferably as a prosecutor, public defender, or private attorney.
• Strong knowledge of criminal law and court procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to client advocacy and ethical practice.

Education and Certifications:
