A law firm seeks a New York licensed attorney for a full-time position in New York. The firm is expanding its presence in the city, offering rapid advancement opportunities. Duties

• Conduct legal research on U.S. and foreign law, utilizing LexisNexis.
• Draft and revise contracts and other legal documents.
• Perform due diligence and establish new corporations and joint ventures.
• Engage in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, banking, and securities work.
• Manage cases, including briefing and motion drafting.
• Complete discovery requests and responses.
• Prepare for hearings and trials.
• Investigate and fact-check information.
• Communicate effectively with clients.
• Review case documents and evidence.
• Participate in client development activities.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, negotiation, and legal reasoning skills.
• Proficiency in client development work.
• Knowledge of foreign languages, such as Chinese, Mongolian, Korean, Japanese, French, Spanish, and Hebrew, is beneficial but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.

Skills

• Proficiency in legal research tools, including LexisNexis.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
