A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Financial Restructuring Practice Group in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of experience in restructuring matters, including out-of-court restructurings and complex business reorganizations.

Duties

• Work on sophisticated in-court and out-of-court restructurings for various clients.
• Negotiate and draft loan documents and restructuring agreements.
• Exercise remedies and draft core restructuring documents and pleadings.
• Represent lenders and debtors in Chapter 11 proceedings.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of experience in restructuring matters.
• Admitted to the Illinois Bar.
• Excellent academic credentials.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the Illinois Bar.

Skills

• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication abilities.
