Job Overview: A prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced Mergers & Acquisitions Associate to join its team. This role involves working on high-profile M&A transactions for leading companies in the technology and life sciences sectors. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience, particularly in public and private company mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic transactions. The associate will be responsible for drafting agreements, managing due diligence, and collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure successful transaction execution.

Location:

Duties:

• Serve as a key associate on mergers and acquisitions transactions
• Draft definitive transaction agreements for public and private company deals
• Assist in managing all aspects of strategic transactions, including:
  • Due diligence processes
  • Disclosure letters
  • Coordinating with subject matter experts
• Provide legal support in client relationship management
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless deal execution

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions or strategic transactions
• Strong track record of managing M&A deals, including drafting transaction documents
• Ability to handle complex, time-sensitive transactions with multiple stakeholders

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Bar of the state where the candidate will be based (New York, California, or Washington) or eligibility for admission
