Duties

• Lead legal oversight of real property acquisition and disposition transactions.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations.
• Review title, zoning, easements, and property-related due diligence.
• Provide legal oversight for facilities operations.
• Review and negotiate facility-related vendor agreements and service contracts.
• Support school site renovations, relocations, and capital improvement projects.
• Draft and review public bidding documents and negotiate resulting contracts.
• Ensure contract terms address liability, indemnification, and school district interests.
• Ensure compliance with competitive bidding and public procurement requirements.
• Resolve disputes involving leases, vendors, and service providers.

Requirements

• Three to five years of practice experience.
• Experience in commercial real estate transactions, corporate contracts, and business operations law.
• Experience in facilities or property management legal matters.
• Advising public agencies experience recommended but not required.
• Member of the State Bar of California.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school required.

Certifications

• Member of the State Bar of California.
