Paralegal
The candidate is responsible for providing support to the Legal Services Department of the company Health System including all subsidiaries under the oversight of the company Health System Lawyers. Maintains all contracts in an accurate and accessible manner. Coordinates contract requests including communications with outside counsel as needed. Maintains integrity and security of Contract Management databases. Ensures annual contract reviews and notification provisions are completed in a timely manner. Determines critical dates for contracts as required for alerts to responsible parties. Reviews and drafts contracts including, but not limited to, physician contracts, contracts for sale and lease of property, consultant contracts, service contracts, confidentiality contracts and other contracts as requested. Communicates with all appropriate business team members on contract requests presented to Legal Services Department. Supports and participates in the continuous assessment and improvement of the quality of services provided including developing and implementing procedures regarding Contract Management databases. Maintains current inventories of activities conducted by the Legal Services Department. Maintains all confidential information. Attends meetings as required and performs other duties as assigned or requested. 3-5 years transactional based experience. Bachelor's Degree, Paralegal certification or equivalent experience. Strong communication, organization and computer skills as well as the ability and initiative to perform duties with consistently high levels of competency, accuracy and sound judgment. Ability to work independently without immediate supervision and deal tactfully with external and internal customers and all System personnel. Superior organizational skills. Very detail oriented.
