A law firm seeks an experienced Consumer Litigation Attorney with approximately six years of practice handling general litigation matters. This position involves managing consumer-focused disputes from inception through resolution, including motion practice, discovery, and court appearances. Location: Long Island.

Duties

• Handle consumer litigation matters from initial case assessment through trial or settlement.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
• Conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances.
• Manage all phases of discovery, including document review and strategy.
• Advise clients on litigation risks, strategy, and resolution options.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external counsel as needed.

Requirements

• 6 years of experience in general and/or consumer litigation.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage a full litigation caseload.
• Experience with state and/or federal court procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction (in good standing).

Skills

• Consumer and general litigation strategy.
• Legal drafting and motion practice.
