A reputable law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to join its legal team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in defending workers' compensation and personal injury cases, be licensed to practice in Illinois (with Indiana licensure considered a plus), and be ready to contribute meaningfully to a fast-paced legal environment. Location:

• Chicago, Illinois

Duties:

• Represent employers and insurance carriers in workers' compensation claims

• Manage a caseload from inception through resolution

• Conduct depositions, hearings, trials, and mediations

• Prepare legal documents, pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements

• Provide legal analysis and strategy for complex legal issues

• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and judicial officials

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in workers' compensation defense and/or personal injury law

• Ability to manage a full caseload and meet billable hour requirements

• Strong litigation and negotiation skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois

• Licensure in Indiana is a plus
