A law firm seeks an experienced Employment and Labor Litigation Attorney to join its Los Angeles team. This role focuses on representing plaintiffs in employment-related cases, providing comprehensive legal representation from initial consultation through trial or settlement. The ideal candidate will have a passion for employment law, strong litigation skills, and a commitment to protecting the rights of workers.

Duties

• Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on employment law and case precedents
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, oppositions, briefs, and other legal documents
• Negotiate with opposing counsel or parties to achieve favorable resolutions
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and other proceedings
• Maintain consistent communication with clients, keeping them informed of case progress
• Uphold high ethical standards and professionalism in all interactions and casework

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in plaintiff employment law or a similar litigation-focused role
• Licensure: Active California State Bar membership required
• Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills, with a high level of analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in Employment Law: Knowledge of California employment law, with a focus on worker rights

Education

• Degree: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Bar Admission: Active license to practice law in California
