Are you ready for an exciting and dynamic career with an industry leader? As the Color & Design Specialist you will consult with architects, commercial interior designers, corporate accounts, segment customers, and commercial professionals to introduce PPG Voice of Colour, pallet, tools, and programs to expose our brand and increase the specification and/or finish schedule of PPG Paints.

Key Responsibilities:

Awareness to perceive and mirror color choices with customer style and preference.  The key is to listen and provide color options to complement architectural styles, regional palettes, and address application as well as visual appeal

Organize, plan and execute trade show presentations, providing color training to store and sales personnel, and Color Trend events in key markets

Support Architectural Design Reps and GC CM Reps by conducting joint calls and leading CEU presentations.  This role is the Corp Acct liaison to ensure national commercial programs are implemented correctly at the regional and local level tying projects to invoices for tracking

Hold a leadership position in at least one local chapter of one or more of the following organizations: ASID, IIDA, NKBA

Call on and support commercial interior designers to secure color spec share and finish schedule

Subject matter expert on color theory, the relationship of color and human behavior/interaction, and customer color schemes and palettes

Quickly build and be heavily vested in maintaining relationships with specifiers and customers

Focus on Commercial Interior Designers as a priority to drive Corp Acct Program success 

Support field by providing color suggestions for commercial projects to secure and drive sales.

Work closely with leadership to define best practices and standardize protocol and processes

','!*!Qualifications:

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from an accredited school

2 years of customer service experience preferred.

The incumbent is required to have flexibility (some evenings and weekends required) of hours due to the variance in the work schedule.

Prior experience in outside paint sales preferred but not required.

Strong verbal and written communications and large audience presentation skills

Ability to negotiate effectively with clients at all levels

Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator a plus.
