Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced and highly skilled commercial litigation attorney to join their expanding team in Seattle. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in handling complex litigation matters, including large-document cases and discovery strategy. This role requires proficiency in preparing compelling legal briefs, managing electronic evidence, and taking on significant client-facing responsibilities. A hybrid work arrangement is available, with an expectation to be in the office approximately 50% of the time. Washington Bar membership is required for consideration.

Duties:

• Manage day-to-day conduct of complex, large-document commercial litigation cases.

• Develop and implement discovery strategies, with an emphasis on electronic discovery (ESI) management.

• Draft well-organized and persuasive legal briefs, handling both procedural and substantive topics with minimal supervision.

• Conduct depositions, and witness examinations, and provide courtroom support as needed.

• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and paralegals.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing legal counsel and strategic advice.

• Manage high-stakes cases while maintaining attention to detail and efficiency.

Requirements:

• At least 6 years of experience in commercial litigation.

• Expertise in managing discovery and ESI processes.

• Ability to independently draft comprehensive legal documents and pleadings.

• Proven experience in depositions, witness examinations, and trial support.

• Strong supervisory experience, with the ability to mentor junior attorneys and staff.

• Exceptional client relationship and communication skills.

• Washington State Bar membership is required.

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Washington State Bar is mandatory.

Skills:

• Expertise in commercial litigation and discovery.

• Strong writing, research, and analytical abilities.

• Advanced knowledge of legal procedures, electronic discovery, and document management.
