Job Overview:
A highly reputable law firm is seeking a partner-level attorney to join its Corporate practice group. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in corporate law areas such as mergers and acquisitions, growth capital investments, commercial contracts, corporate governance, corporate finance, private placements, and distressed company transactions. This role focuses on maintaining and expanding existing client relationships, while also driving new business development within the Corporate Group. The attorney will play a key role in delivering sophisticated and practical legal advice to corporate clients.

Duties:

• Manage and maintain current client relationships.
• Develop new business and expand client base in corporate law.
• Provide legal advice on mergers and acquisitions, growth capital investments, and corporate finance.
• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts.
• Advise on corporate governance and distressed company transactions.
• Assist with private placements and other corporate matters.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide comprehensive legal solutions to clients.
• Engage in business development efforts, including generating new clients and expanding existing relationships.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in corporate law.
• Strong background in mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, corporate governance, and corporate finance.
• Ability to maintain and expand client relationships.
• Proven track record in business development and client generation.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong business development and client relationship management skills.
• High proficiency in corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and governance.
• Ability to drive strategic initiatives and manage complex corporate transactions.
