Senior Systems Engineer
RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide strategic and engineering guidance regarding best practices for the implementation and/or rollout of new or updated technology solutions. Develop the design and configuration of new or upgraded technology systems and applications. Create new system and application implementation plans and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability. Serve a lead role in the technical integration and implementation of system solutions and/or upgrades, and provide on-going guidance and troubleshooting support to Network Operations team engineers to ensure the consistent and reliable operation of those systems. Monitor health, performance and operational trends to proactively identify issues and propose and implement solutions. Manage, monitor, support and optimize Azure and Office 365 environment. Manage Active Directory, Azure AD, and Group Policies within a Windows Server 2016 and 2019 environment. Configure and optimize DNS and DHCP. Administer Exchange 2016 hybrid O365 environment. Manage mobile device management system and develop or enhance existing processes and procedures. Manage and maintain VMware Vsphere 6 environment supporting Windows and Linux-based operating systems. Manage and maintain cloud telephony and unified communication systems. Manage and maintain network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Internet connections. Design, configure, maintain and support customer remote access solutions. Design, configure and maintain SAN environment including backup, disaster recovery and business continuity. Provide technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to less experienced team members. Utilize monitoring software to ensure timely response to network and systems issues. Serve as an escalation point for network systems operational issues. Create and maintain documentation for system configuration, mapping, processes and service records. Participate and respond to after-hours issues in a timely manner based upon severity and/or business impact.
