Job Overview
A growing and dynamic immigration law firm based in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to manage a diverse caseload involving removal defense and family-based immigration matters. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives while advancing professionally in a collaborative and mission-driven legal environment.

  • Los Angeles, California

Duties

  • Represent clients before the Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR), including both detained and non-detained hearings

  • Handle family-based immigration matters with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Department of State, and international consulates

  • Prepare and litigate applications for relief from removal such as:

    • Asylum

    • Withholding of removal

    • Convention Against Torture (CAT)

    • Cancellation of removal

    • Adjustment of status

  • Manage cases involving U-Visas, VAWA petitions, N-400 applications, I-601A and I-212 waivers, and family petitions

  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategies

  • Collaborate with administrative staff and maintain up-to-date client communication

  • Analyze client needs, propose legal solutions, and advocate for favorable outcomes

  • Travel as necessary for court hearings, client meetings, and USCIS interviews

Requirements

  • 3–4 years of experience in immigration law, with emphasis on VAWA, U Visas, Naturalization, Removal Defense, and Family-Based cases

  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for frequent travel

  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with a legal team

  • Strong understanding of current immigration law and policy

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active bar license in any U.S. state (required)

Skills

  • Fluency in English; Russian fluency strongly preferred

  • Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills

  • Strong interpersonal and client counseling abilities

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage complex caseloads

  • Technologically proficient with legal research and case management systems
