Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3 to 5 years of experience to join its growing litigation practice. This role offers hands-on opportunities to work on complex civil litigation matters, including case strategy, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation. The position is ideal for a driven attorney who is eager to take on responsibility, work directly with clients, and contribute meaningfully to high-stakes litigation.

Location:

• Houston, TX

Duties:

• Manage all phases of litigation from investigation through appeal

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and legal memoranda

• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies

• Take and defend depositions

• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations

• Assist with trial preparation and trial proceedings

• Maintain regular communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel

• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on complex litigation matters

Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of litigation experience at a law firm

• Demonstrated experience handling matters independently and in a team setting

• Strong understanding of procedural and substantive law

• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the relevant state(s)

Skills:

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

• Effective oral advocacy and courtroom presentation

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities

• Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal communication
