Job Overview:
A growing law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to represent mortgage lenders and investor clients in real estate-related legal disputes. This role involves handling a wide range of matters including residential and commercial foreclosure, title disputes, and property litigation. The position is ideal for attorneys with courtroom experience and a strong grasp of Texas mortgage and civil procedure law. Remote work flexibility is available for qualified candidates.

Location:

  • Irvine, Texas

Duties:

  • Manage a docket of contested residential and commercial foreclosure cases

  • Represent clients in state and federal court for hearings, motions, and contested proceedings

  • Draft motions, pleadings, and discovery documents

  • Review title reports, loan files, and case records to develop legal strategy

  • Conduct settlement negotiations and case resolution discussions

  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding case developments and strategy

  • Handle litigation involving evictions, HOA/COA disputes, and title issues

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of civil litigation and courtroom experience (5 years preferred)

  • Familiarity with Texas Mortgage Foreclosure Law and Code of Civil Procedure

  • Experience handling foreclosure matters, including contested hearings and trials

  • Previous involvement in real estate litigation, including both commercial and residential property

  • Probate and default mortgage servicing experience considered a plus

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas

  • In good standing with the Texas State Bar

Skills:

  • Strong legal writing and analytical skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple active matters

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • High level of professionalism and client service

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
