A law firm seeks a Commercial Litigation Attorney with 4-6+ years of experience to join their team in Roseland, NJ. The ideal candidate will have experience managing cases, conducting discovery, and drafting motions, with additional experience in chancery practice, health law, or construction law being advantageous.

Duties

• Manage a caseload of commercial litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Conduct depositions, discovery, and legal research.
• Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials.
• Work closely with partners and clients to develop case strategies.
• Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to clients.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice in New Jersey required.
• Admission to practice in New York is a plus.
• 4-6+ years of commercial litigation experience in a law firm.
• State and federal court experience.
• Strong writing, research, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Proficient in all aspects of eDiscovery, including best practices for the preservation and collection of electronic evidence.
• Experience with eDiscovery software platforms such as Everlaw or Relativity.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple matters and meeting deadlines.
• Courtroom and deposition experience preferred.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills and client-service mindset.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in New Jersey.
