This role involves managing complex commercial disputes, providing strategic legal advice, and representing clients in various business-related legal matters. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the firm’s litigation team with a focus on client advocacy and case management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in business and commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract, business torts, and partnership disputes.
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of litigation, from initial case assessment through trial and appeal.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and arguments.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefs.
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients on various business-related legal issues.
  • Develop and maintain case management plans, ensuring timely and effective progress.
  • Collaborate with clients, experts, and other legal professionals to build strong case arguments.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal trends, changes in statutes, and case law to ensure informed representation.
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and client service throughout the litigation process.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar admission in South Carolina.
  • Strong experience in business and commercial litigation, with a proven track record of handling complex cases.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High degree of organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Bar admission in South Carolina.
