Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a highly experienced Senior eDiscovery Attorney to lead and manage complex eDiscovery matters across high-stakes litigation and regulatory proceedings. This position plays a key strategic and operational role, supporting case teams with discovery planning, technology, and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in all phases of the eDiscovery lifecycle, including experience with Second Requests, TAR protocols, and cross-border data issues. This role may be performed in-office, hybrid, or fully remote from approved jurisdictions.

Duties:
Lead strategy and execution of document collection, review, and production in complex litigation and regulatory matters
Manage relationships between clients, case teams, and eDiscovery vendors
Draft and negotiate ESI protocols, TAR protocols, confidentiality agreements, and discovery timelines
Coordinate custodian interviews and determine scope of document collection
Supervise document review workflows, quality control, and privilege log creation
Prepare eDiscovery budgets and negotiate vendor pricing
Participate in and lead meet-and-confer sessions and conferences with opposing counsel and government agencies
Advise internal attorneys on best practices, rules, and trends related to eDiscovery
Provide document and deposition preparation support
Research discovery rules and case law across multiple jurisdictions
Collaborate on internal education and training regarding eDiscovery tools, law, and technology
Contribute to firm-wide special projects and innovation initiatives related to litigation technology
Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of relevant eDiscovery experience in a law firm or in-house legal setting
Proven experience managing complex discovery workflows, including Second Requests
Demonstrated ability to interface with regulators, opposing counsel, and co-counsel
Deep knowledge of eDiscovery technology platforms and processes
Experience developing discovery-related protocols and strategy documents
Understanding of privilege doctrines, confidentiality, and privacy regulations
Strong project and stakeholder management abilities in high-pressure environments
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Admission to the bar in the state of the office location or eligible for admission in a firm-approved jurisdiction
Skills:
Strong command of the eDiscovery lifecycle, including analytics and TAR tools
Excellent legal writing, communication, and negotiation skills
High-level knowledge of Relativity and related review platforms
Advanced understanding of cross-border discovery and data privacy challenges
Proficient in managing multiple projects with tight deadlines
Ability to lead and influence across litigation and client teams
Technically adept, highly organized, and adaptable to evolving technology
