Retail Product Counsel, Amazon Physical Stores
Duties: Work with business and technical teams addressing customers’ retailing needs in new ways through revolutionary innovation. Will be an integral part of the business so needs to be extremely comfortable providing counsel directly to business leadership on both legal and business issues. Some specific responsibilities include reviewing regulatory requirements for new jurisdictions to evaluate how existing regulatory requirements apply to these new retail models; working with the businesses to educate them on regulatory requirements and implementing processes to comply; working with regulators to educate them on the new retail models; working with the businesses to evaluate new selection and engage vendors; and providing legal review of Physical Store marketing and in-store signage; and streamlining regulatory and marketing review processes to support the businesses so they can continue to surprise and delight customers. This attorney will also have the opportunity contribute to the business in other fun ways, such as serving as a beta tester for new retail innovations.
