A law firm seeks a Consumer Finance Associate with 3-4 years of relevant experience to join its Financial Regulatory practice in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience advising financial institutions and technology providers on federal and state financial laws and regulations.

Duties

• Counsel banks, credit unions, and FinTechs on financial regulations.
• Conduct financial regulatory and state licensing analyses.
• Draft and negotiate contracts and lending documents.
• Advise clients on compliance with financial regulations.
• Assist with regulatory enforcement investigations and actions.

Requirements

• Experience with federal and state financial laws and regulations.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to client service and effective teamwork.

Education

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active member in good standing of the Bar where admitted.
• Timely admission to the Bar of the state where the hiring office is located.

Skills

• Experience in regulatory interpretation and compliance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
