Job Overview:
A nationally respected law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join its Trademark & Copyright Practice Group. This full-time, in-office position offers the opportunity to work with a top-tier legal team representing globally recognized brands. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in U.S. and international trademark prosecution, TTAB litigation, global anti-counterfeiting enforcement, and broader IP strategy. This role offers a dynamic environment with a focus on sophisticated legal work and collaboration across offices.

Location Options:

• Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

• Manage domestic and international trademark prosecution

• Represent clients in TTAB opposition and cancellation proceedings

• Develop and implement global anti-counterfeiting enforcement strategies

• Counsel clients on broader IP and brand protection strategies

• Draft licensing, coexistence, and settlement agreements

• Support IP due diligence in M&A and other transactions

• Provide guidance on copyright registration, protection, and infringement matters

• Coordinate with global counsel to ensure international IP strategy alignment

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in trademark and copyright law

• Proven ability to manage complex trademark portfolios and TTAB proceedings

• Experience advising on anti-counterfeiting and IP enforcement

• Ability to work effectively with multinational clients and cross-functional teams

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

• Strong academic performance preferred

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

• Must be admitted or eligible for admission in the jurisdiction of the office location

Skills:

• Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills

• Exceptional organizational and project management capabilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Collaborative, client-centered approach to legal problem-solving

• Proficiency with IP docketing and legal technology platforms (preferred)
