Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Civil Litigation Associate for its Philadelphia, PA office. This role offers the chance to work with seasoned litigators on complex professional liability, general liability, directors' and officers' liability, and commercial litigation cases. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 5 years of experience and will engage in cases from pre-suit through appeal.

Duties

• Handle all phases of litigation from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and assist with litigation strategy.
• Manage discovery and prepare for depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Communicate with clients, insurers, and opposing counsel.
• Collaborate with attorneys across offices on complex matters.
• Assist with insurance coverage matters as needed.

Requirements

• Admission to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey required.
• 4 to 5 years of relevant litigation experience.
• Strong writing, research, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to Federal Courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey preferred.

Skills

• Strong organizational and case management skills.
• Experience with depositions, motion practice, and court appearances.
