A reputable law firm is currently looking to hire an Associate Attorney to join its Family Law team in Napa, CA. The ideal candidate will be a motivated individual with a passion for family law and civil litigation. This position provides a balanced mix of office-based work and the option for remote work up to two days per week. The attorney will be responsible for various duties including court appearances, client interaction, and case preparation, offering an opportunity to grow within a supportive, professional environment.

Duties:

• Handle cases involving family law and civil litigation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents with attention to detail.
• Appear in court for hearings and trials as required.
• Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed on case progress.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and legal procedures.
• Use legal software tools (e.g., Dissomaster, Clio) for case management and documentation.
• Assist with case preparation and ensure all documents are organized and filed properly.

Requirements:

• 2 to 4 years of experience in family law or civil litigation.
• Demonstrated ability to draft high-quality legal documents.
• Strong research, organizational, and writing skills.
• Comfort with direct client interaction and court appearances.
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar.

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and court procedures.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
• Familiarity with legal software (Word, Excel, Dissomaster, Clio).
