Mid-Level Financial Services Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Peoria, IL is seeking a Mid-Level Financial Services Litigation Associate Attorney with 4+ years of experience. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of commercial litigation practice and procedure in Illinois state and federal courts, as well as experience defending claims under the FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA, and state consumer protection laws. Illinois Bar admission is required.

Duties:

• Handle a caseload of financial services litigation matters.
• Defend claims under the FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA, and state consumer protection laws.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and other proceedings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
• Work collaboratively with other attorneys and staff members on case strategy and management.

Requirements:

• Illinois Bar admission is required.
• 4+ years of experience in financial services litigation.
• Knowledge of commercial litigation practice and procedure in Illinois state and federal courts.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the Illinois State Bar.

Skills:

• Strong litigation skills, including legal research, writing, and oral advocacy.
• Experience defending claims under the FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA, and state consumer protection laws.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
