Job Overview

A law firm seeks a litigation associate with 3-7 years of experience to join its busy and varied Litigation & White-Collar Criminal Group in Hackensack, NJ. The candidate must be admitted in both New Jersey and New York or able to waive in promptly, and manage cases in state and federal courts.

Duties

• Oversee day-to-day management of litigation cases.
• Appear in court and take depositions.
• Interface with clients and manage client relationships.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.
• Experience in commercial, estate, or employment litigation, or federal criminal defense.
• Familiarity with NJ Rules of Court, New York CPLR, SCPA, and Commercial Division rules preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in New Jersey and New York.

Skills

• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience managing litigation and appearing in court.
• Trial experience is a plus.
