The position is remote, with flexibility and occasional travel, and involves client-facing responsibilities outside standard office hours.

Duties:

  • Engage with potential new clients to evaluate case viability and provide informed legal guidance

  • Collaborate with litigation teams to assess case strategies without directly handling litigation

  • Serve as a subject matter expert by applying trial experience to inform firm decision-making

  • Educate clients on legal processes, ensuring clarity and transparency in all communications

  • Maintain professional and empathetic client interactions, even during high-stress consultations

  • Participate in internal team meetings to review case developments and align on strategy

  • Contribute to a client-first culture by supporting the firm’s reputation for quality and care

  • Occasionally attend firm meetings, team events, or in-person client sessions as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 20 years of legal practice, preferably with 30–40 years of personal injury trial experience

  • Demonstrated record of client advocacy and high professional standards in litigation settings

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in client advisement

  • Availability to work some evenings and weekends as dictated by client needs

  • Comfortable working remotely while maintaining a professional and private environment

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for meetings and team coordination

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

  • Active license to practice law in the State of New Mexico

Certifications:

  • Membership in the New Mexico State Bar

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal judgment and client advisement capability

  • Strong emotional intelligence and empathy when dealing with seriously injured individuals

  • Ability to distill complex legal scenarios into digestible options for clients

  • Effective team collaboration and communication in both virtual and in-person settings
