Duties

• Draft and review motions, pleadings, and discovery documents.
• Conduct legal research and case analysis.
• Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel.
• Appear for law and motion hearings.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial.
• Assist with trial preparation, including jury instructions and trial documents.
• Second-chair trials, with potential to progress to first-chair responsibilities.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California.
• 3-6 years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience handling motions, discovery, and depositions.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Clio is a plus.
• Prior experience with complex litigation is preferred but not required.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California.
